LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A driver has died two weeks after a crash on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder).

Louisville Metro Police Department responded to I-265 N near the Blue Lick Overpass around 5:10 a.m. on Sept. 5 about a crash.

Police said a vehicle in that area was disabled and the man driving got out of his vehicle and crossed over to the shoulder. He was hit by a car while on the shoulder.

The driver who hit the man stopped and stayed at the scene.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

On Friday, police said the man died from his injuries.

The coroner has not identified the man.
