If you looked up at the morning sky Friday, you may have noticed something "peculiar," according to NASA.

A trio of "celestial objects" came together for a "magnificent conjunction."

According to NASA , those who looked up at the moon in the early morning hours may have seen Venus and one of the brightest stars in the night sky, Regulus, nestled up against it.

"The three are part of a conjunction, which simply means that they look close together in the sky (even if they’re actually far apart in space)," NASA reported.

The Adler Planetarium said Venus was "barely a quarter of a degree" from the lower "horn" of the moon.

The conjunction marks just one of several moments to look for in the sky for the end of the month.
