LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers stationed at the World Trade Bridge seized over $3 million worth of meth.

The seizure happened on Tuesday, September 16, when a CBP officer from the Office of Field Operations referred an international tractor carrying a shipment of cement for a secondary inspection.

After a canine and non-intrusive inspection, officers found 25 packages containing 368.17 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, valued at $3,385,424.

CBP confiscated the narcotics, and reports say that special agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are looking into the seizure.
