LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan Attorney General announced a preliminary victory in court over the use of SNAP information by immigration enforcement.

AG Nessel was part of a coalition of 20 other attorneys general and State of Kentucky.

The coalition filed a lawsuit to prevent the use of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) information by immigration enforcement officials.

The legal coalition says the information, which includes sensitive data like home addresses and social security numbers, would be used by immigration officials illegally.
