ST. CLAIR, Ill. (First Alert 4) - A convicted murderer is now charged with failing to register as a sex offender and dissemination of child sexual abuse material in St. Clair County.

In 1986, Donald L. Green, 56, was convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated criminal sexual assault in connection with the death of his 6-month-old daughter.

On Sept. 4, 2025, investigators alongside the Fairview Heights Police Department and the Belleville/St. Clair County Regional Special Response Team searched Green’s home in the 200 block of North Bend Drive. Green was arrested after authorities found evidence of child sexual abuse material.

Green was charged with three counts of dissemination of child pornography and three counts of failure to register as a sex offender. He waived his right to a
