MINNEAPOLIS — A 30-year-old woman has died days after being shot in Minneapolis, according to the police department.
According to the MPD, Jacinda Oakgrove died at the hospital on Thursday.
Officers from the MPD initially responded to multiple reports of a shooting around 10 p.m. on Monday at an encampment, said the release.
Upon arrival, the officers encountered a "chaotic" scene, where seven people had been wounded by gunfire, including Oakgrove.
The encampment, which was built on private property, was cleared out by city officials on Thursday.
MPD investigators are working to determine what led up to the fatal shooting.
