ATLANTA — A 14-year-old was located near a MARTA station with a gunshot wound to the leg Thursday night, Atlanta Police said.

Officers said they responded to a scene on Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW at around 10:03 p.m., where they found the injured teen. He was alert and breathing when they arrived, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No other details about the shooting were released.

MARTA shared on social media that MARTAConnect would be in effect for West Lake and Hamilton E. Holmes stations due to rail disruptions. The transit service shared a link that provides a credit for a rideshare.
