Star Wars ' brand-new TV show, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy - Pieces of the Past , just gave Star Wars fans something they've been wanting for decades: a Skywalker family reunion. Although the Skywalker family is in many ways the 'royal family' of Star Wars , this lineage is also one of the greatest tragedies in Star Wars movies and TV shows .

The original trilogy incrementally revealed that Luke and Leia were the children of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, but the prequels fleshed out both parents, Anakin and Padmé, and made it absolutely devastating that this couple never got to raise or really even know their children. What's more, Anakin and Padmé's relationship ended in a brutal way.
