DALLAS — Hundreds of flights are delayed at DFW Airport, Dallas Love Field Friday afternoon as the Federal Aviation Administration reports that telecommunications issues are affecting their processes.
"The FAA reported an issue involving the telecommunications provider for the air traffic control facility that oversees the airspace in the Dallas-Fort Worth area," American Airlines said in a statement. "As a result, the FAA has severely limited flights into both DFW Airport and Dallas Love Field, which is affecting our operation."
"Passenger safety is DAL’s top priority, and we are in constant communication with our partners, including the FAA, as they work to manage the situation and minimize disruptions," Dallas Love Field added.
Several other regional airports were also impacted, but
