TEMPLE, Texas — A $700 million data center is coming to Temple, the Temple Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has announced.

According to the EDC, The Temple City Council unanimously approved plans for Rowan Digital Infrastructure to build a major new facility in the city.

The new facility will reportedly be located on more than 700 acres along Bob White Road in south Temple, and is scheduled to break ground by the end of 2025. Completion on the project is reportedly anticipated for fall of 2026.

“This announcement is the latest in a series of major companies seeing the value of investing in Temple and doing so in a big way,” John Howe, Chairman of the Board for Temple EDC, said. “This data center has the potential to impact our community in tremendous ways for years to come.”
