ALLEGAN, Mich. — Allegan Public Schools (APS) alerted families Friday afternoon that a former Allegan High School student who currently is enrolled in Allegan Online was arrested early Friday morning.
That same morning, federal authorities alerted Allegan law enforcement that a potential threat had been made to the school. Federal authorities had been made aware of the threat after the student had been involved in concerning online conversations, the district said in a post on their website.
Officers went to the student's home, where they found "credible evidence of a possible incident," according to APS. The student was then arrested, all of this unfolded before the school day began.
APS said the student is still in police custody while the school works with law enforcement to investig
