CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Heads-up for anyone living near Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee.

Officials there say you may hear loud noises Saturday, between 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. as they conduct a training exercise on base.

We’re told it may sound like simulated automatic weapons fire and artillery explosions with these noises coming in bursts. Officials state there’s no reason to be alarmed.
