EUGENE, Ore. - A man wanted in connection with a hit and run collision incident that happened in August was arrested on Thursday near a local golf course, according to the Eugene Police Department.

According to Eugene Police, officers were conducting a follow-up investigation near East 30th Avenue and Spring Boulevard when they were alerted to the presence of a man, later identified as 21-year-old Zachery John Pagett, in a wooded drainage area. Despite initial evasion, he was detained at East 27th Avenue and Central Boulevard after a large police presence, including patrol units, K9s, and a drone team, responded, police said.
