STERLING HEIGHTS, MI – Two Michigan police officers were bound over for trial after being charged for their alleged conduct during an arrest in Feb. 2024.

Sterling Heights police officers James Sribniak, 31, and Jack Currie, 29, have been on leave since the incident took place in Roseville on Feb. 25, 2024.

They were both accused of misconduct after they subdued a Roseville domestic violence suspect who fled a traffic stop.

Currie allegedly punched the suspect in the head/neck area while he was already subdued. Sribniak allegedly ordered the K9 to bite the suspect, which he did.

Both officers were charged in October 2024 , according to a news release from the Michigan Attorney General’s office.
