LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (WAFB) - The Louisiana State Police say detectives with the Special Victims Unit arrested Patrick McManus, 27, of Denham Springs on Friday, Sept. 19, for attempting to engage in sexual acts with a minor.

Investigators say the case began in late August when the Special Victims Unit, working with the FBI, identified McManus after he allegedly engaged in sexually explicit conversations with someone he believed was a 15-year-old juvenile.

McManus was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on charges of computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles.
