SAN FRANCISCO —
On the same day California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation aimed at either stabilizing or lowering gas and electricity prices, he addressed a reference former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris made about him in her memoir.
Following her defeat in the 2024 presidential election, Harris spent this past summer contemplating a run for California governor before ultimately deciding against it. Around that time, she announced that she would release a book titled "107 Days," a reflection on her run for president and how many days she had to campaign.
While the book has a Sept. 23 release date, some details about what to expect have already been released, such as her blaming then-President Joe Biden for making the "reckless" decision to run for reelection.
