AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - An Amarillo nonprofit is taking big steps in its mission to give survivors of domestic abuse a safe place to call home.

After years of planning, Healing Through Him Ministries (HTHM) has started groundwork on its tiny home village project.

Founder and director of HTHM Jessica Bradfield says it will feature 18 tiny homes designed to give women, children, and pets a safe place to rebuild their lives.

“To be surrounded with survivors that have broken through to the other side and actually seeing God’s redemption in their lives, being surrounded by that, I just pray that it truly brings a true sense of safety and redemption that’s coming,” said Bradfield.

Volunteers have been clearing debris off the land while crews installed a septic system and well to finalize
