CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Carbondale Police Officers responded to a reported disturbance at Carbondale Community High School on September 19, 2025.

The incident stemmed from a prior dispute among three teenagers, according to the police.

Police said a 15-year-old female was arrested on several offenses, which were described as Resisting Arrest, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Damage to State-Supported Property, and Aggravated Battery to a peace officer.

A 16-year-old female was arrested on offenses of resisting arrest and criminal trespass, police stated.

Both teenagers were released to their families pending a court appearance after no space was available in regional juvenile detention facilities.
