The government led by Premier Danielle Smith is back at the bargaining table with the Alberta Teachers’ Association, the ATA.

If the teachers do not get their way they have said they will strike Oct. 6, a little more than two weeks away.

The Smith government says their offer to teachers is “strong” and “exceedingly fair.”

They say it will pay teachers well, the best in western Canada by 2027.
