Denton, Texas Traffic: Multi-vehicle crash shuts down I

DENTON, Texas — All northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near North Loop 288 are closed Friday evening after a multi-vehicle crash, Denton Police said.

Drivers are being urged to expect significant delays and to seek alternate routes while crews work at the scene. Authorities said that five vehicles, including a semi, were involved in the crash and one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The closure is causing major slowdowns along the interstate, a key corridor for commuters during rush hour through Denton County. No estimate has been given for when lanes will reopen.
