NORFOLK, Neb. (KCAU) — The Norfolk City Council recently approved the fiscal year 2025-26 annual budget.

Officials stated that the overall budget increased by almost 7% or $9.6 million. This is due to the 0.5-cent sales tax approved by residents.

That sales tax was used to fund the police division building, renovation, and expansion; if you take that out of the discussion, then the budget increased by more than 1%.
