Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death in Alaska, according to the Alaska Department of Health. But this weekend, the community is stepping up to change that—one stride at a time.
The Alaska Heart Run and Walk, hosted by the American Heart Association, is set to take place Saturday at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage. The event invites families, friends, and survivors to come together in the name of heart health—to get active, raise critical funds, and honor those impacted by heart disease.
