NORFOLK, Neb (KTIV) - The Norfolk Area Health Fair kicked off Friday, Sept. 19 in the Cox Activities Center at Northeast Community College.

The event, which ran from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., offered participants complete blood work-up services for $50. That work-up would normally cost up to $750.

There were also local vendors offering health services such as vaccines, physical assessments, and fitness demonstrations.

Missey Sonnenfelt, the Group Fitness Director for the Norfolk Family YMCA, said the event is important to help people wherever they are on their health journey, and to make health more accessible for everyone.

She led several fitness demonstrations which offered modifications to include people of varying abilities.
