With a snip of the scissors, a new Langford business launched. Though everyone is welcome, Island Xpressions Hair and Beauty Studio fills a specific need.
“There wasn’t a place where a person with my hair texture could go and get serviced in Langford,” said owner Eleithia Bedward, who is originally from Jamaica.
“And I honestly was just tired of shampooing my hair in my bathroom,” she joked.
Bedward moved to Langford from Kelowna 3.5 years ago, and never thought she’d own a salon.

“This has not always been my dream. I have a background in law and business but the need for this space grew when I moved here,” she said.
