MOREHEAD, Ky. —

A man is facing two counts of murder after a mother and her 13-year-old daughter were found dead inside a Kentucky home.

According to Kentucky State Police, deputies with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office responded for a welfare check at a home on South Spring Street in Morehead around 11 a.m. on Friday. Advertisement

Inside the home, deputies found Kayla D. Blake, 37, and her 13-year-old daughter Kennedi McWhorter, who were dead.
