The Cougars fumbled only three seconds into the game and Ayden Dalton got the recovery. Quarterback Colton Parrott fired a shot to Nathan Hobby who made a circus catch at the eight and Parrott was in on the next play and was true on the two-pointer as Grainger led 8-0.
