MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- In the wake of the historic flooding in Milwaukee, the number of people living homeless is rising.
A neighborhood group wants to help and they're starting by camping outside all weekend.
Happening now the Amani United is hosting the Milwaukee 'Sleep Out.'
Anyone is invited to come including people who are living unhoused.
The group is helping those neighborhoods by holding demonstrations on cooking, health, survival skills and more.
People can also get free food boxes from feeding America.
"It starts with us," said Housing and Economic Development Chair Christal West. "So healthy vegetables, diapers - anything a family person might say they need. You will not leave this field without it."
The event is a block party, so anyone who needs help over the week
