BUFFALO, N.Y. — The lawsuit between acting Mayor Chris Scanlon, Buffalo Common Council member Mitch Nowakowski, and city Comptroller Barbara Miller-Williams is expected to be heard in state supreme court Monday morning.

As the battle has intensified in recent months, the standoff between the parties continues even as the Comptroller announced the city successfully borrowed $29 million in a bond anticipation note Friday morning.

"It's going to be used to cover the 7 million for the critical infrastructure projects," Comptroller Miller-Williams said.

The projects include road projects on Busti Avenue, Jefferson Avenue, and ever continuing "cars on Main Street" initiative.
