After previously mulling over the idea of creating a day designated for Charlie Kirk, the Lynden School District decided to table its decision in response to concerns presented at the district meeting on Thursday.
According to Board president Jim Verburg, the idea of establishing Charlie Kirk Day had not been fully vetted.
“For a variety of reasons, those things didn’t occur,” Verburg said, according to KING 5 . “As president, I take responsibility for the shortsightedness. The buck stops here. This board is committed to allowing time for the Lynden community to provide input on important topics such as this.”
