SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A local pet rescue is in recovery mode after their business caught on fire this month.
As LA Baby Mommas works nonstop to save what they can from the fire, their sight remains in their prize possession — the puppies.
KSLA’s Marvin Andrade talked to a member with the organization, who says they are grateful for the tremendous support from the community.
A place once filled with playful pups is now filled with ashes.
LA Baby Mommas specializes in rescuing puppies that require around-the-clock work. That work was put to a temporary stop as the building caught on fire last week.
When Wesely Edge first heard the news, his mind went directly to his precious puppies.
“I was at work, and I took off. The babies were my first thoughts,” Edge said.
