CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT)—An eruption of cheers sounded off in Chesterfield Friday night. The top GOP candidates were kicking off early voting with a rally, urging voters to get to the polls.

“I ask that you rehire me to protect Virginia,” said incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares.

“I’m going to protect young people from the mutilation of their bodies,” said Lt. Governor Candidate John Reid.

“This election is not about the next four years; it’s about the vision and the future of Virginia,” gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears said during the rally.
