ST. JOHN’S — Another night, another game-winning goal for Louis-François Bélanger.

Bélanger scored at 1:49 in overtime to help the Newfoundland Regiment beat the Moncton Wildcats on consecutive nights with a 5-4 win Friday in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League.

The Regiment won their first game in franchise history 7-5 over Moncton on Thursday, with Bélanger burying the go-ahead goal late in the third period.

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan moved to St. John’s this season after 27 years in the league.

Tyson Goguen scored twice while Max Dinneen and Justin Larose also had goals for Newfoundland. Regiment netminder Antoine Proulx stopped 26 of 30 shots.

Alex Mercier scored twice while Tommy Bleyl and Niko Tournas scored once for Moncton. Wildcats netminder Jacoby Weiner saved 23 of 28
