A Gwinnett County man who says ICE wrongly detained him is filing another petition to be freed from a south Georgia ICE facility.

Nearly three dozen people were outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in downtown Atlanta—seeking the release of Rodney Taylor. He is facing deportation.

Taylor, who is a barber, was born in Liberia with disfigured legs and taken to the United States by his parents for medical help at age two.

Taylor, who has two prosthetic legs, lived with his family in metro Atlanta until ICE agents surrounded his house earlier this year. They locked him up in South Georgia's Stewart detention center.

"I spoke to him this morning. He's doing OK. He's holding up the best way he can," said Mildred Pierre, his fiancée, on Friday.
