Stanford senior Elia Rubin, a reigning AVCA All-America first-team selection, put down a match-high 16 kills and Lizzy Andrew hit .647 and added 12 kills to lead the fourth-ranked Cardinal to a 25-19, 25-18, 25-20 sweep of Hawaii this evening at Maples Pavilion in Stanford, Calif.
Rubin added 13 digs and was one of three players in double figures in digs for the Cardinal (7-2), who have won four in a row.
Freshman Cha’lei Reid put down a team-high 10 kills and Stella Adeyemi added eight kills and 11 digs and made only one error for UH (4-5), which ended a four-match winning streak.
Hawaii doubled up on the Cardinal in blocks, 8-4, but managed only 32 total kills and hit .179.
Sophomore middle Miliana Sylvester had five kills and hit .417 without an error while adding six blocks.
