The U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution introduced by Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville on Friday in honor of the life of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at a debate hosted by Turning Point USA, a nonprofit political organization that he founded, at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Tuberville's resolution, co-introduced by Sen. Rick Scott of Florida, designates October 14, Kirk's birthday, as “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.”
