YORKTOWN — It was a good night to be a Yorktown Tiger.

Yorktown fans had reason to celebrate before the football game against New Castle even kicked off. In addition to the festivities of homecoming night, the Tigers were also playing the first varsity game on Tiger Victory Honda Stadium's brand new turf field. The new field and stadium renovations were largely funded by private donations from the Yorktown community , which finally got to see its investments come to fruition in front of a packed crowd on Friday, Sept. 19.
