SOUTH JORDAN, Utah -- For four seasons, Home Run Derby X has toured the country and the world, bringing a new three-on-three co-ed version of a home run derby to eager fans in each city. Before Friday night, every one of those events finished with a winner, a crowned champion for the city.

This time, eight teams entered The Ballpark at America First Square with more on the line than could be completed in just one night. The teams had earned their place from the previous six stops on the HRDX tour this summer, whether by winning one of the tournaments or performing well enough to earn a spot as a wild card.
