A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Los Angeles Police Department vehicle Friday in the Highland Park area.

The crash occurred at 7:23 p.m. at Woodside Drive and North Figueroa Street, LAPD Officer Drake Madison told City News Service. That location is next to Sycamore Grove Park.

The man believed in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene, Madison said.

An investigation was underway at the scene.
