Felonious assault: Warrensville Center Road

At 3:20 p.m. Aug. 31, police responded to the area of 2193 Warrensville Center Road on a report of a dispute on the street that resulted in shots being fired.

The victim told police that he was approached by a male who exited a car and confronted him. During the verbal encounter, the male suspect pulled out a firearm and fired several rounds toward the ground in the direction of the victim’s feet.

The victim was uninjured and the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. An investigation is under way.

At 1:55 a.m. Aug. 25, a John Carroll University student reported that his 2020 red Hyundai Tucson was missing from the lot at the campus’s Rodman Hall.
