Mathew Resende and Joe Squillaro each rushed for a pair of touchdowns as Brearley edged Highland Park 27-26 in Kenilworth.

Highland Park (2-1) jumped to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to a Kosta Hantsoulis interception return for a touchdown and a 23-yard touchdown pass from Marcus Smith. Hantsoulis connected with Smith on a two-point conversion after the interception return, but failed on the extra point attempt after the touchdown pass.
