TRAVERSE CITY — A $20 million housing and market project on a downtown city parking lot got a thumbs up from the city’s Downtown Development Authority.
The DDA Board on Friday approved providing a letter of support for Homestretch Nonprofit Housing Corp.’s plans for a five-story mixed-use development at the city’s Lot O at the corner of State and Cass streets to create 44 housing units on the upper four floors of the project. The plans also include just over 4,000-square-feet of ground floor retail space for a grocery and farmers market called the Cherry Capital Downtown City Market.
