Couples have been warned that they may need to get a new passport—and there's a three-month warning attached to the alert. Written by the UK Government, couples who have recently had a wedding need to update their passport sooner rather than later, and they don't need to wait until after their big day.

Currently, it costs £94.50 to apply for a new travel document online. However, if you apply through a paper application, it costs £107, which is £12.50 more.

According to officials, GOV.UK says that if you've had a wedding or are due to get married soon, "you can get a new passport in your new name either before or after the ceremony." So long as the name on your passport matches the one you use when you book your travel, you should be okay.
