HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentuckians have been asking for the return of rain chances after a long dry spell.... and we are finally going to get it!

Skies start mainly calm on our Saturday, with some cloud cover firing up an isolated chance in far eastern Kentucky. Temperatures won’t take long to warm up from the upper 50s and low 60s - by the afternoon, we will see conditions peaking in the mid to upper 80s. That summer sizzle will soon fade, don’t worry!

While there will be an isolated chance on our Saturday embedded within our cloud cover, the real rain chance is going to come on our Sunday. Scattered showers began to show up in the middle of the afternoon, turning more organized later in the evening. Thunderstorms later towards sunset and dinnertime will pack a punch.
