$48M Slate Belt recycling center unveiled, boasting capacity to handle 300 tons daily

When people throw their plastic bottles, aluminum cans and cardboard boxes in the recycling bin, they may be headed for a new facility in the Slate Belt.

WM, formerly Waste Management, recently opened its 80,000-square-foot facility designed for sorting and processing recyclable materials.
