After taking its worst loss in memory, 55-0 at the hands of Golden West last week, the Hancock College football team will try to keep Santa Ana winless Saturday in the Northern League opener for both teams.
Kickoff at Hancock is set for 2 p.m. The Bulldogs, 1-2, are returning home two disastrous road games. Bakersfield routed Hancock 33-7 then came the shellacking the depleted Bulldogs took at Golden West.
Hancock was without several regulars in that one, including sophomore quarterback Drake Missamore who accounted for most of the Bulldogs' offense the first two games. Semaj Carmichael, expected before the season began to be Hancock's lead ball carrier, has not played yet this year.
The status of the regulars the Bulldogs were missing last week was unknown at press time. Hancock kicker
