TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- One person was killed, three other people were injured and seven homes were destroyed after a late-night fire in Trenton, New Jersey.

Officials say the person who died is an 18-year-old man. His name has not been released.

One of the people who was injured is in critical condition, while the others are in stable condition.

Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora said a firefighter is among those who were hurt.

The fire was reported just before 11 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of North Olden Avenue, near Ellis Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames spreading through the rowhomes, and viewer video shows neighbors banging on doors to get people to escape.

The fire went to three alarms before it was finally brought under control.
