BATON ROUGE, La. (LouisianaFirst) - Baton Rouge Police say a 25-year-old man was shot and killed on Friday.

The victim is identified as James Lee Critney.

The shooting happened Friday morning in the 2700 block of Scenic Hwy.

Baton Rouge Police detectives found Critney deceased from a gunshot wound in a bushy area behind a business in the area.

Detectives believe Critney was involved in a physical altercation before the shooting.

This is an ongoing investigation.
