CHEYENNE — For the past 46 games, Sheridan has found multiple different ways to win.

It’s part of the reason why it has won four consecutive Class 4A state championships.

Friday night’s game against Cheyenne East was the closest the Broncs have come to dropping a game in nearly four years. East went toe-to-toe with Sheridan, staying within striking distance throughout.

But the effort wasn’t enough for the Thunderbirds (3-1) to put an end to Sheridan’s winning streak. The Broncs (4-0) came up with a pair of fourth-down stops to prevent East from tying the game, which allowed them to push their state-record winning streak to 47 in a row with a 27-20 win.
