OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha police arrested a man suspected of striking a pedestrian in a hit-and-run Friday night.

Police report responding to the area of Park Avenue and Douglas Street shortly before 10 p.m. to find an injured pedestrian.

According to investigators, an eastbound 2010 Chrysler 300 entered the intersection and struck the pedestrian, a 33-year-old man, who was taken to Nebraska Medicine.

The man is being treated for life-threatening injuries but is in stable condition, police said.

The suspected driver, whose name has not been released, is described as a 38-year-old man who showed signs of intoxication and had three passengers in the car, two of whom were under the age of three.
