Pakistan cancelled its pre-match press conference ahead of their Asia Cup rematch against India in Dubai on Sunday.
The team management did not give any specific reasons behind the decision to skip their second consecutive pre-match press conference during the Asia Cup.
Apparently, this move was taken to avoid having to discuss the handshakes.
:"Pakistan will not be holding their pre-match press conference today," said a message from the Asian Cricket Council.
Earlier, Pakistan also cancelled their press conference following the before their match against the UAE.
Meanwhile, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav sidestepped the no-handshake issue ahead of the Asia Cup rematch against Pakistan, choosing to focus instead on the bat and ball.
